Is FortifyMe a medical app?

No. FortifyMe is a wellness and personal-growth companion. It is not a medical device, therapeutic service, or healthcare product. It's informed by published research on behavioral change and self-compassion, but it doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a licensed professional or 988.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your journal, check-ins, and setback reflections are yours — never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for ads (FortifyMe has no ads). Your buddy sees only what you choose to share with them; your cohort sees only what you post. You can export everything as JSON and delete your account with a single tap — your account is deactivated immediately and fully purged within 90 days. Details in our privacy policy.

What does it cost?

The core is free, with no ads and no tracking — daily check-ins, Resilience Score, panic tools, the setback protocol, identity work, your buddy, and your cohort. Nothing you need in a hard moment is behind a paywall. An optional Pro plan adds walking-partner pairings, long-form lessons, and richer weekly pattern reports for people who want to go deeper.

What happens when I slip?

The app shows you real numbers from your own history — days on the journey, check-ins completed, coping tools used. No counter zeros out. No "Day 0." You walk through a five-step protocol rooted in self-compassion research (Neff's triad) and land on one small next step. Your Resilience Score stays floored at half of its all-time peak.
